February 2008 Concert

 

If you love to sing, Treasure Coast Community Singers, Inc. is the organization for you. The TCCS, in its sixth season, is directed by Douglas P. Jewett,  Minister of Music of the North Stuart Baptist Church. The purpose of TCCS is to keep people singing and is dedicated to nurturing the musical skills of its members by emphasizing the development of proper technique.  The ability to read music is NOT required - what IS required is the love of singing!

Treasure Coast Community Singers, Inc. began in April 2003 with seven members. Today, we have more than one hundred singers from all over the Treasure Coast, ranging in age from high school to retired. TCCS provides a friendly setting for its members while emphasizing the development of their singing ability. TCCS performs a variety of nostalgic favorites to well known secular, religious and classical music.

College scholarships are provided annually by the TCCS to selected students who are planning to pursue their interest in music.

We begin our rehearsals in August and conclude in May. Concerts planned this season are in November, a Christmas concert in December, and concerts in March, and May. An additional Sunday performance has been scheduled for the March and May concerts. Rehearsals and performances are held at North Stuart Baptist Church.
